I love Columbia.  I moved here in late 2001 following my retirement from the Navy and grew to love it.  As the home to the University of Columbia and other growing businesses, Columbia provides numerous employment opportunities and a welcoming environment to raise a family.  

 

A critical aspect of a growing, vibrant community is safety.  For that reason, Columbia requires a fully staffed police department, fire department and emergency medical services.  This will be my number 1 priority.  I also believe that a growing community requires infrastructure, development and a welcoming business environment.
